Here is another perfect place to meet friends or stop by for a tasty breakfast, a mid-morning snack, a late afternoon snack, or any other kind of snack during the day. Pasticceria Nobile is considered to be one of the historic pastry shops in town, still resisting and existing while new shops and activities are bursting all around it, on the main road linking the train station to Rialto bridge.
I often stop by and grab a couple of “pizzette” and take them home. They say those are made according to an ancient and secret recipe and that’s what makes them so tasty, and maybe there is a kernel of truth to that, because they are so good, something special must be in there.
Pasticceria Nobile is also famous for their different kind of croissants and classic Italian pastry products. For special occasions, one can go there and find handmade cakes or pies of different kinds. This pasticceria is always quite crowded, as residents know it very well and stop by for a pizzetta, or a croissant, together with a very good coffee or, as I prefer, a fresh fruity juice, made on the spot with the fruits and vegetables of your choice.
