Kind of hidden in a side alley, you’ll find this tiny & neat snack bar. It’s just one room with three tables and a few seats and a counter with a small open kitchen behind it.
What I really like about this place is its sweet and somehow stylish furnishing and decoration. And as days get colder, its nice to know that in autumn and winter time they have a very cozy atmosphere, because the room is heated by a traditional stove.
Its name “Rote Rübe” (beetroot) reveals the cuisine, the focus is on healthy food, fresh fruit- and veggie juices etc. There are not many dishes on the menu, and you can’t get alcohol either, but it’s a very nice and relaxing place to stop for a favorite & healthy snack.
It’s not haute cuisine, but the stuffed crepes are really good, the juices and the tea fresh and tasty and I like that once you sit down you get free water right away.
Only open at daytime and there’s no toilet because it functions as a snack bar!
