The sushi place craze has been and gone, burger joints are still going strong, but bagels have never been a thing in Vilnius. And then Beigelistai just went and took a stab at it.
Tucked away in the corner of Halės market’s main hall (check the Halės market article), this place comfortably seats some 12 people and serves a bagels-only menu. Plus, good coffee and sweet snacks.
They buy most of their ingredients locally, right from the market. Are these bagels the bees knees? Us Vilnius folk have no frame of reference (bagel-savvy peeps, please leave a comment!) – but they’re definitely worth your time if you’re in the hip area near Halės market.
My pick: the bagel with cream cheese and salmon. Come over for a good breakfast, and continue with checking out the many delicious and odd things on sale at the market.
