It’s really rare to see murals or any type of big drawings on buildings in Vilnius. Especially if we are talking about the Vilnius old town. But things sometimes change. And in a good way.
This specific mural was created during Vilnius Street Art Festival which is hosted yearly in September. Jurgis Tarabilda – a Lithuanian street art representative is the author. I’ve seen some of his works in the streets of Vilnius before, but they were on a smaller scale. However, the guy has that individual approach, which is always pleasing for the audience. This mural was yet another great idea to be implemented in the urban space.
Odminių street, the location of the mural is now much livelier and attracts more attention from the pedestrians walking by. Every time I pass the painting myself it makes me think about being at least a bit less rational and a bit more intuitive. Anyways, it’s nice to have some decent street art in Vilnius.
