As a big coffee fan it is hard for me to say, but coffee is becoming slightly overrated these days. By overrated I mean that new cafes are popping up in quantities never seen before and most of them are based only on the flow of people in a particular location.
But (but is a good word) when you have a loss on one side there is salvation somewhere on the other. And for those (like me) who are looking for a bit more soul in your cup there’s – Crooked Nose & Coffee Stories. Sounds like a name for an indie movie rather than a coffee spot, but bear with me.
Close to old town, but not on a touristic path – plus. Original interior and aesthetics related atmosphere – double it. Handmade coffee with a twist of their own – jackpot! The place is essentially a brew bar which serves their personal roasts. You can choose from 3-4 different beans which are freshly roasted every day. Select your brewing method and wait for your cup of the magic liquid. Attention to details dominates here!
I really enjoy this place, since it feels very different than your regular coffee spot. The atmosphere and laconic interior lets you dig deep and concentrate on the beverage itself. And besides that it is always nice to talk with the people over the counter – they are always welcoming and ready to provide you with some insights on the joyous coffee you’re sipping.
