Summer is street food season. Open Kitchen is buzzing, but there are more great food trucks all around the city. This one was established by a great guy named Simas, who knows how real fish and chips have to look and taste like. He went all the way to London to learn the best recipes and adapt them to his own style. I assure you, I am being very impartial here, but those are some of the best damn fish & chips I’ve tried.
The fish is crunchy, but what’s more important is that there’s plenty of fish and not only batter. The chips are a delight and there’s plenty of them in one portion.
You cannot mix Ryk Lys food truck with any other – intensely blue, with a long poem about love for fish & chips, great music playing from inside and smiling chefs make Ryk Lys very special. You can also buy some beer or soda and enjoy your lunch!
Ryk Lys has several sports, so be sure you check out their Facebook page to learn about their spot for that day, or just message them on Facebook and they will reply. But usually you can find them by the white bridge in the city center. It’s a perfect spot, because there’s the river, there’s a lawn and a great view.
So, hungry yet? You’re welcome and enjoy!
