I love this place for one thing. Spinach with onion, garlic, and cheese – warmed up, heavenly creamy, rich in flavors, served with two buttered pieces of toast. There was a time when I would order three or four spinach to go and bring it home to cheer everybody up. Or if I had a really bad day I’d call them to prepare the spinach, go there and eat it without waiting.
After several years it’s still very good. I’m not there as often as I used to be, but whenever we are in the centre and we want to eat something I have my spinach and others order either pizza with Parma ham, or tagliatelle alfredo (Parma ham, rocket, peperoncino), or farfalle with chicken (sun-dried tomatoes, creamy sauce) or all of them because we cannot decide.
Each time I’m in Bordo they have more and more space. First they added one more room, then another, and then yet another, and after that they opened a terrace. Bordo grew from being a small eatery in the centre to being a large restaurant where you can eat lunch or dinner. And maybe most of the meals they serve are similar to other places, but there are a few that are like nowhere else.
Recently they started to offer breakfast (from 9:00 till 12:00) – you order one and you pay 1 zloty for the second one.
