Kicia Kocia is a favourite cafe bar in my neighbourhood, close to Wiatraczna roundabout. Although the name directly translates as Kitty Cat, it’s not a cat cafe or anything like that what one might think, but it’s still definitely a cute place for a drink or coffee with friends.

Here you might treat yourself to a delicious coffee and cake but instead I usually make use of what they call the Alcohol Library. And they call it a library for a reason. The selection of beers is quite impressive and they are all craft beers from local breweries, mostly in Poland, but also from our eastern and southern neighbours, that are otherwise almost impossible to find. What I like even more is that if you’re a cider a person you can also choose from many different ones, unlike in most other places where you have no more than three most of the time. When it comes to local products, they even have a tonic water produces right in this district (Grochów). You can use it to have a gin tonic as liqueurs are also available.

Cultural events like meetings with local artists also take place here, as well as regular events like garage sales or vinyl markets.
