During the last 10 years lots of cinemas all over the city were built. However, almost all of them are located in shopping malls, and they offer mostly movies that are considered “popular”.
Kino Muranow cinema was built just after the second world war. Before the war it was a part of the Warsaw Ghetto area.
Kino Muranów is smaller than those chain cinemas but its atmosphere beats all modern cinemas.
And if you are a big movie buff like me this cinema will be perfect for you as they offer a wide range of good quality cinema. In 2003 the cinema received the European Cinemas Award for the best cinema in terms of repertoire. They have two screening rooms (Zbyszek and Gerard) named after a Polish and a French actor.
Another advantage of this movie theatre is that they have “movie Mondays” where they have the tickets for only 11 zl on Mondays. Otherwise its costs 17 zl – 20 zl depending on the day. The cinema is also child friendly ![]()
Inside the movie theatre there is also a small cosy café.
