Małe Piwo, literally translated means ‘a small beer’, idiomatically on the other hand, it means something is ‘a piece of cake’.
So I should clarify at the very beginning: Małe Piwo is really small and deals in beer. And that is enough to make it a great place to go. A tiny place on a tiny street, Małe Piwo probably offers the largest selection of beers in Warsaw. They have mostly local and regional beers – kinds you won’t get anywhere else! It’s definitely worth checking out in the evening to have a beer with friends or dropping by in the morning when they serve fresh coffee and cakes (often vegan!).
Don’t worry – they know people have to have a bite between beers. They serve snacks to make it easier to gulp it all down with: Portuguese sardines, amazing Polish cheeses and small seafood snacks. They also offer yummy warm sandwiches for both carnivores and vegetarians.
Oh, and don’t worry if you’re in a non-alcoholic mood, Małe Piwo also has a nice choice of kvass and non-alcoholic home brews.
You know that song ‘One hundred bottles of beers on the wall’? – it’s probably about Małe Piwo. So go have a small beer at Małe Piwo. With a selection like theirs, it’s a piece of cake!
