On a summer day, when the sun is shining in Warsaw, I love to take a bike and call my friends to meet close to Vistula River for a drink.
The place has a very strange name: it’s called “Miejsce”; in English it would just be called “place”.
Warsaw has started to understand that the Vistula river has great potential: since the rebuilding of the sidelines now transformed into sidewalks, passing the spring/summer time there with a glass of beer, wine, or just water has become very enjoyable.
“Miejsce” is located in what is still an “off zone” for most people, just at the end of the walk from the Vistula side in lower Mokotow, where the Vistula forms a small lake and where this bar is floating. The structure is a container converted into a fancy bar, with a lot of windows that allow the customers to enjoy the quiet area.
The food is great: since it opened, I’ve been there just a couple of times. The burgers are very good as well as the original “pasztet” with various kinds of beans.
What can I say, I just had to put this “place” on my spot map.
