This is a great restaurant located at Zelazna street. They offer a wide range of various dishes, however most are meat dishes. The restaurant is characterized by its PRL (Poland between 1952 to 1990) style, all dishes are named after different communistic icons, such as Mao’s Chicken or Kadar’s Hungarian Potato Pancake. I would recommend visiting this restaurant during your stay in Warsaw as it offers many traditional polish dishes together with good beer in an atmosphere that’s hard to describe. The staff is very kind and the food is delicious. My favorite combination is Polish style Duck a`la Cyrankiewicz which is an oven roasted duck served with cherry sauce, roasted apple and beetroot, if you like beer I would order a Zywiec beer, or if you are with some friends, go ahead and order a beer tube Unfortunately it’s not the cheapest place but the food is great. Price examples: The Commander’s cutlets ( beef cutlets tenderized with club) – 29 PLN, Polish style Duck a`la Cyrankiewicz – 43 PLN, Żywiec beer – 0,5 l – 9 PLN, Coca-Cola – 7 PLN.
