The name of the club means “1500m2 to let” and the area of 1500m2 is as huge as 3.5 basketball courts. Yes it’s big. Yes it’s also a club/art place. I’ve always wondered what the story of its name is. I bet it was like this:

[telephone talk:]A -I’ve just got space where I want to create a party place. It’s huge! More than 1500m2

B -Cool! What do you want to call it?

A -Dunno, ‘maybe 1500m2 to let’?

A&B -HA ha ha

But the 1500 is a serious place. I mean the founders are doing their best to host interesting events. This place from the very beginning was well organized. There were several opening parties. Now it’s often compared to London’s Fabric!

First was a performance, in which well known artists were painting walls of the patio. After that, there were successive openings of the new spaces in the club (like the 772m2-party or 472m2-party). 1500 is an old, postindustrial printing house, so this 1500m2 is divided into a lot of smaller places. Sometimes they only open a few of the rooms.

As I wrote before, it’s not only a club. There are a lot of other activities: performances, multimedia shows, theatre acts etc… The place is open only for events, so be sure to check the program.
