Some years ago, the city of Warsaw started off its bike rent system. Now Warsaw has almost 5000 bikes in more than 300 bike stations everywhere from the north to the south. In recent times, also double bikes and bikes to ride with kids were introduced. The stations next to sights or relaxation areas, such as Las Kabacki, Park Skaryszewski, among others, would be most worth visiting.
To rent a bike you either need to access the terminal (that of course speaks English as well) or just press “rent a bike” in the app in your phone. The whole process of registration takes you about 3 minutes. If you use the app, you can also see how many bikes and free spaces for bikes there are in each of the stations.
Up to first 20 minutes are for free, which means that if you are well organised, you could ride through the whole city changing bikes 🙂 The next 40 minutes should cost you 1 PLN (about 0,2 Euro, yes, 0,2 Euro). Definitely worth a try now the weather’s getting warmer again!
