Brookland’s Finest Bar & Kitchen has been my go to bar and restaurant since it opened more than two years ago. I like it for its neighborhood feel and casual environment. It is a very family-friendly place and there are always people of all ages. Also, they are open pretty late.
My husband and I are usually driven there by an empty fridge or one of their tweets. Say fried chicken or special burger and we are on our way. It’s a great place to watch sports and meet with friends.
The bar serves cocktails and craft beer – there is a rotating menu with some local ones, like DC Brau (check it out here) – and the food is new American. Excellent brunch is served on weekends.
Essentially, Brookland’s Finest means comfort food in a comfortable environment. The bar area opens to a patio, but right now it is cozy inside.
