There are so many options when it comes it comes to brunch. I can’t always be expected to be able to decide between sweet and savory, especially on a lazy weekend. However, Kapnos on 14th Street combines two of my favorite things when it comes to brunch: Greek food and small plates meant for sharing.
The first order of business at Kapnos is ordering one of the many spreads which all come with flatbread. My go to is the fresh tzatziki which perfectly kicks off the meal. Then order your hearty dishes including gyros, egg dishes, and sweet treats. I switch up what I order every time I go but the Baklava French toast is always a must. This French toast version with walnuts and fruit is a fun twist on the classic dessert. My favorite egg dish is the Stone Oven Baked Eggs which is filled with lamb and potatoes. It easily shareable but feels like a well rounded breakfast meal in one dish.
