I am a huge fan of burgers and I am so glad that D.C restaurants seem to take my fandom pretty seriously. There are so many restaurants that provide me with my desperate need for artery clogging goodness. One of my favorites is Thunder Burger Bar in Georgetown.
Thunder Burger bar attracted me because of its black and pink awning (my two favorite colors). I walked in and fell in love with the gothic style furniture and glamorous chandeliers. My favorite band, Led Zeppelin was playing over the speakers and I realized that this is what the inside of my brain must look like. The owners put so much effort into the look and feel of the place, that my pessimistic side of my brain figured that the food can’t be that fabulous. False. BEYOND FALSE!
The server recommended that I have a burger considering that is what they were known for. I was going to go with the classic cheeseburger until I saw that they had a bison burger AND grilled jalapeño and poblano peppers. I am a spicy pepper fiend (thanks to my father) and I decided to try them out on my burger along with some muenster cheese. There are so many other types too such as “Showdown at the Border” and “Pig in a Cowsuit”. I recommend being adventurous and trying one just for their names! OH and try their brunch. Now Ramble On my friends (see what I did there)?
