Kavana Corso is a coffee house located on Sigečica, a part of Zagreb you’ll rarely find on tourist guides. But that doesn’t mean there’s no reason to come here and explore a typical Zagreb neighborhood. Kavana Corso was opened not long ago and now it’s one of most popular places in Sigečica. Many city folk come here from other parts of town, just because the coffee & interior are that good.

Same goes for me. My friend discovered this coffee house and we went there for a drink. The first time I came here, I was thrilled with the interior design. In short, its industrial style meets Zagreb flea market. I am not a design expert to explain more, but I do know that it’s hard not to feel comfortable here. Someone took the time and knowledge to collect so many things related to daily life in Zagreb. Just by looking around I saw at least ten items I had or still have at home.

Besides the ambience, the coffee is really, really good and made in this steampunk-looking coffee machine, the coolest I’ve ever seen! There is also a good selection of teas and alcohol drinks, whatever you are in the mood for. The big glass walls make sure there is a lot of light inside and the terrace is big, with two olive trees guarding the entrance. The service is quick and greets you with a smile, which is a small gesture but does mean a lot.
