The fun part of growing up (or growing older, if you insist) is filtering the important things in life that make you happy from the general life noises. Those little moments that make us content are what makes life worth living and I like the fact I’m finding more and more spaces in my hometown where you can enjoy them in their pure form.
The same philosophy was the one that made the owners of Sherry’s, a hip Croatian couple, endeavor into fulfilling a crazy dream of opening up their own wine bar. Evolving from a tiny space in Zagreb’s Trešnjevka to a bigger, more mature space downtown in the scope of a year and a half proved that the need for concepts like these is alive in Zagreb.
Therefore, Sherry and Sherrif have decided to expand their offer across all aspects, but mostly food. They recruited the Italian chef Gregorio Manucci who cooked at Zagreb’s cult establishment Apetit City and who created a small but interesting list of daily special bites to accompany the wine. In addition to wine, the offer now also involves craft beer (I’m not a beer drinker but experts have told me it’s excellent) and of course, kept their coffee offer on a high level, switching to beans from Zagreb’s very own Cogito coffee brewing facility which is part of the Cafe U Dvorištu.
I’m sure that Sherry & Sherrif will continue updating their offer so go and check them out!
