Cakefriends – A cafe to satisfy your sweet tooth

This is the best place to meet up with the gang on a Sunday afternoon for a quick espresso and a muffin or chill on a Tuesday night with a chocolate mousse cake and a big pot of tea.

Tucked into a corner of Niederdorf, near Bellevue, Cakefriends’ goal is to offer the best cake in the world by using only the best suppliers and the best ingredients – and if you ask my love handles, they are doing a pretty fine job.

The best part about the whole Cakefriends experience is that everything is in manageable proportions that satisfy your cravings but don’t make you feel like a glutton. The little cakes are so cute in their cardboard loaves, and the cherry pies are just the right size for two. They also have a great lunch menu with some mean looking salads.

The store is modern, hip and designed to perfection, making Cakefriends THE spot to get together and satisfy your sweet tooth. And if you are there at closing times, sometimes you get to take home tomorrow’s day old cakes for free!
