About me
So little time, so little time to do the things I love. Like reading books, magazines and newspapers. Or eating, several times a day. I listen to music too, preferrably (but not only) with either electric powered, distorted guitars or clean, fresh sounding Folk guitars in it. I play these instruments too, as well as the drums. Not too well, but, well, It’s fun, especially with my Punkish Rock-Band, the PiRats. Running late at night is fun too, and I get great ideas while doing it. That’s it, this should give you a rough idea of what I’m all about. Oh, I almost forgot: I study journalism and work for a TV-Magazine.
When I came to Zurich three years ago, I didn’t share the common Biggest-City-in-the-Country-animosity of many friends from the Bern area. I was rather kind of indifferent. Having grown up in a town with 8000 inhabitants, Zurich just seemed… big. I didn’t know right away if I was going to like it. But very soon I knew. The city has grown on me very fast, it’s still growing on me every day – And I think she likes me too
What tipps can you expect from me? I’m a student, music-lover and a vegetarian and I like things that are not too mainstream. I know what it is like to travel on a shoestring, because I live on a shoestring;). So I’ll tell you about restaurants that are in the middle/lower price class and suitable for veggies, alternative bars and cafés, and places where you can listen to live music.
Why Zurich?
I could say: because Zurich is one of the fastest growing cities in Europe. But I wont, because I don’t really care. I love Zurich for what it is now, and that is, it’s the most international City in our country.
And while it still has the charming smallness typical for Switzerland, it definitely the vibes of a metropolis. Plus, there’s always something going on, the people are great and the lake… aaaw, the Lake in Summer – wonderful.
