When you search for Strudel on the internet, Poushe is one of the first entries on the list. This tells you all you need to know as to how serious they are about this Habsburg delicacy (or perhaps how clever their webmaster is).

Poushe offers a different savory strudel for lunch every day, and the tasty salad and side dish buffet is included in the price (CHF 13.50 for a small or 17.50 for a large portion). The strudels range from a down-to-earth potato version all the way to a more adventurous pumpkin and cinnamon combo. For a serious sugar rush, you get to choose from four or five sweet options, with teas and coffees to round off the Viennese café experience.

Poushe is run by a Bulgarian family. They own another Poushe strudel shop and eatery across town in Wollishofen and have just opened their third at Waffenplatzstrasse. Definitely an empire expansion that would have made the Austrian Emperor proud!
