Zeughaushof is a gorgeous, hidden park, just a short walk from most of the main streets in the city. Surrounded by beautiful old buildings, including a theatre, music school and art centre, this park definitely has an artsy feel.
There’s loads of space to throw down a blanket and lie out, plenty of shady spots under the trees, and there’s even a big playground for any little people. I normally bring along a picnic and a sneaky can of beer and just soak up the sun, but if you want something more substantial, you can scooch over to the ‘Sommer Garte’ restaurant and bar serving up grilled, fresh fish and cool beers.
Compared to some of Zurich’s bigger parks and grassy knolls, Zeughaushof rarely gets too busy so you’ll always find a spot to lie out like the locals!
