Eating a pizza in Budapest will never be the same since Pizza Manufaktúra opened in 2011. Before there was cheap quality, thick dough, ketchup, canned corn and horrible taste, even at the better places. Now the guys offer thin crust (Roman style), high-quality ingredients and an authentic taste at a friendly price.
Flour from Hungary (best quality in the country), salt, olive oil, tomato sauce, cheese, sausage etc. directly from Italy, funny artworks on the walls and a vintage motorcycle: this is what makes Pizza Manufaktúra exceptional. My personal best choices: Bivaly (with mozzarella bufala), Patata (a very nice combination of sweet potato, mascarpone and spicy Italian sausage) and Pesto (with homemade pesto).
You can have your pizza take away or eat it in the shop, which, I think makes it an extra good experience. They have the menu in English as well. Normally the guys fill your order in 10 minutes, but be prepared, because during rush hours (18:00 – 20:00) you could even wait for 40 minutes to get your dish and it is hard to find a seat as well.
