De Ysbreeker is one historical restaurant like none other. There, you don’t just enjoy the food, you also find yourself reflecting on the times and people that the restaurant has seen come and go. It’s always so fascinating because the very walls tell a story too. It goes without saying that it is teeming with activity, proving itself as not just a place for food, but also one for art and history.

It’s been around since 1702, as prominently indicated on the windows in front of the restaurant. And speaking of its rich history, even the establishment’s name has a story. It is derived from the icebreaker situated in front of the building from 1702 to 1860 when the restaurant was just a pub and motel. Renovated in a way so that the history has been preserved in its unique arches, stained windows, floor artistry, and Wilhelmina billiards table, it’s a structure to fall in love with, as much as you fall in love with the food.

Interestingly, the restaurant features a whole lot of other cool stuff, functioning in a diverse manner. It is a lounge, game area, diner, pub and coffee house all in one. You will surely want your kids and family to come and experience the goodness of this place. You are thinking of organizing something large or small for a group? Not to worry—De Ysbreeker has the space for you.
