When you’re done raiding all the vintage shops at the Haarlemmerdijk, you will end up at a square called Haarlemmerplein. Don’t turn around for your way back just yet! There is a great -but tiny- vinyl record store you don’t want to miss. It is located on the square in a small topsy turvy house, together with a hairdresser.
Eardrum Buzz has a very sharp music selection. I especially love the 7″ singles bin where I hauled a stack of the best ’80s songs in existence – what can I say; girls just wanna have fun. But there’s more, much more. You might just stumble upon that one rare soul record you were looking for or didn’t know you needed in your life until then. Or you’ll discover an old new wave band you’d never heard of but sounds like your new favourite cup of tea.
The two owners know their stuff and are passionate about knowing their stuff. This, too, makes the vinyl hunt ten times more fun because not only do you get to discover new and old tunes, you also chip in on the existence of an old skool brick-and-mortar record store — and an exceptional one at that!
