There’s just something special about a place that throws its arms open to family. Located on Marie Baronlaan 19, Haddock is one of the most family/kid-friendly places you can visit in Amsterdam. There is food for everyone! Vegan? Vegetarian? Strict seafood eater? Not a problem at all. My kids are in love with the fries. And then there are the truffle croquettes… Oooh! Simply marvelous!

Most excitingly, the kids can go off to the play area where there are toys and games waiting. With the adults left alone for a while (winks!), the alcohol can come out to play freely. It’s a full bar, people! Whatever you like to drink! The friendly staff serves so professionally and passionately; you want to give all of your savings as tips. Another wonderful thing about Haddock is how homely it feels whether you choose to eat inside, gazing at the beautiful decor, or dine outside with the breeze upon your face. If you are like me, with a deep love for outdoor spaces, the latter will deeply excite you. There are different setups of chairs and tables outside, you can eat, lounge around and relax, with nature all about you. Just imagine that for a second. The kids can come out to play, meet new friends and adults can have casual, friendly conversations with other visitors too. With good food, a great setting, and wonderful service, all at an affordable cost, what more does a beautiful family lunch/dinner require?
