Ready for your best hour in Amsterdam?

A visit to House of Bols, Cocktail & Genever Experience on the Museum Square in Amsterdam, is an unforgettable interactive experience through the glamorous world of cocktails, liqueurs, bartending and genever. Lucas Bols is the oldest spirit brand in the world since 1575 and the House of Bols shows decades of flavour and craftsmanship in a unique way. Visitors find out all about the company’s namesake Lucas Bols and how he conquered the world with his liqueurs and genevers. And as often, they saved the best for last.

Discover the art of flavour

The House of Bols takes its visitors on a spectacular multi-sensory and unique journey through the ‘World of Cocktails’. In the ‘Art of Flavour’, ‘Hall of Taste’, Extraction Room’ and ‘Genever Room’ all senses will be stimulated, and visitors discover the secrets of all the Bols liqueurs and Bols Genevers. As winner of the Dutch Design Award for Best Exhibition & Experience, House of Bols is proving that heritage and history blend perfectly with innovation and contemporary design.

Mirror, mirror on the wall

To make a visit even more attractive, the audio tour (available in English, Dutch, French, German and Spanish) ends in the revolutionary Mirror Bar. Here bartenders shake Bols cocktails, based on your own flavour preferences. The first cocktail is on the house! Those who wish to learn the art of flair bartending (think of Tom Cruise in ‘Cocktail’) can do so in the magical Flair Booth. At the Do It Yourself Bar cocktail enthusiasts can make their very own cocktail, guided by one of the House of Bols bartenders.

Let’s go!
