I love to try new restaurants, and recently brunch has been one of my favorite meals during the weekends.
Little Collins is a cosy bar and restaurant in the Pijp and is an ode to Australia — the home country of the owners — and their favorite food and drinks. The style is small and intimate with a trendy interior and an open kitchen indoors, and a few tables outdoors. The menu consists of a brunch (Wednesday to Sunday) and dinner (Thursday and Friday) menu, next to a variety of mixed drinks. Brunch includes traditional dishes with bacon, eggs, and sausage, but also nice varieties with more original ingredients such as halloumi and rosewater. The dinner menu is modern and international with dishes also suitable for sharing.
What stood out for me when I was there on a quiet weekday was that the international community of Amsterdam has also discovered this place. I believe the prices are a bit high compared to the size of the dishes, but the quality of the food makes up for it!
