There are very few things that can get me out of bed before noon on a weekend, but a good boozy brunch is high on that list. Give me a cocktail and some eggs benedict and I’m one happy girl.
Teds has both of those things and more, which is why it’s one of my favourite weekend hangouts. The interior is cool, they always have good music playing in the background, and they have a great cocktail list.
Now let’s talk about the food. The eggs benedict are served on a croissant, which if you ask me is one of the best ideas ever, and the hollandaise sauce is also spot on. If you fancy something sweet try the french toast with bacon and maple syrup (to die for) or the fluffy pancakes with banana and Nutella. They also serve great sandwiches that you don’t come across in that often in Amsterdam, like a Philly cheese steak or a Ruben. Of course don’t forget to wash it all down with a cocktail, the mimosa and espresso martini are my personal favourites.
It can get pretty busy and they don’t take reservations on the weekends, but don’t panic, they serve brunch all day. No need to rush!
