You are in no doubt familiar with the wine problem. You enter your local supermarket, looking for a bottle of wine that will fit with the food you are making. You enter the wine isle. You start reading wine labels. And after 10 minutes you pick the bottle that ‘looks good’.
Ok, since the Vivino app, those situations happen less and less. But still, even after following a wine course, supermarket wine aisles freak me out.
That’s why I love to go here. Wines are categorized under ‘fresh’, ‘gentle’ and ‘rich’. They have reds, whites and sparklers from all over the world, but they tend to avoid France.
Now, even with those 3 words, making the right choice is hard. That’s why there’s always somebody behind the counter ready to help you out. I once asked for a wine to go with salmon, and they didn’t forget to ask how I was going to prepare it. They sure know what they’re doing!
They want you to go on an adventure. They once pointed out to me these wines, and I still ask for them :).
Some extras this shop has to offer: they’re open till 20:00 (which is a rarity in Belgium), they have bottles of white and sparkling already cooled for you to take home if you’re in a hurry, and everyday about 20 bottles opened and ready for you to taste.
Sometimes they organize special events like wine tastings and discoveries, so make sure to check out their facebook page.
