In the mood for Asian comfort food? The Korean restaurant Camino is the place to be! Even if you are not particularly familiar with Korean food, Camino is definitely worth a visit. The restaurant is run by chef David and hostess Lynn. They fell in love instantly and decided to start their own business. It was the cover of a book by the American cultchef David Chang that gave them the inspiration for Asian cuisine.

Once a Korean sandwich bar on Vrijdagmarkt, Camino quickly became a local favourite and the owners decided to turn it into a restaurant. It’s now located on Munthof, a hidden and cosy square in the Sint-Andries quarter, close to Kloosterstraat. The regularly changing menu offers both small plates like pork buns and slowly cooked eggplant and bigger plates like noodle and rice bowls – perfect for some food sharing!

Though the menu is limited, there is something for everyone and both vegetarian and vegan options are available. A big plus is that Camino has the most amazing outside terrace, so if the weather allows it, make sure to find a spot outside.
