Spaghetti places are becoming the next big thing in Antwerp. If you are into delicious tomato sauce and al dente pasta, check out Flaneur.
Flâneur is situated almost in the shadow of our beautiful ‘Museum van Schone Kunsten (Museum of Fine Art). It is a lively place, where you can spot some of the ‘m’as-tu-vu’s of Antwerp.
We had a choice between 5 difference spaghetti dishes: 3 with meat, 1 with meat and creme and one veggie.
Flâneur has a cosy interior, but if the weather allows it, go for the terrace in the front of the restaurant. You can enjoy yourself by spotting people from ”t Zuid’ passing by, hopping into the surrounding (wine) bars.
Tip: ready for a bar afterwards? Go to Chatleroi bar (cross the street, 100m to the left, at the roundabout) . If you prefer it a bit fancier: check out ‘De Hopper’, 100m farther on the same side at the roundabout. In for some wine? Go to the bar Divin by Sepi.
Nice to know: Why the name ‘Flâneur’? It is a person who wanders around the city, who likes to watch other people and become a part of the crowd.
