If you visit Athens in the summertime, one of the must-dos is going to an open-air cinema. Located on terraces or big yards and among trees, watching a movie outside while it’s really hot can feel like a true oasis!
Athens has a few open-air cinemas; from among them I would suggest visiting Cine Alsos for many reasons! The first one is that it’s located at the entrance of the grove of Philadelphia, so you can combine your plan to watch a movie with a walk among trees, flowers and birds. The second reason is its retro feeling, as Cine Also started running in the ’60s, 1963 to be precise. And if you combine your cultural needs with your gastronomic ones, you can visit it in the afternoon, as it opens at 19:00 and serves delicious pizza you can have while drinking colourful cocktails!
You can reach it by train (green line): stop at Perrisos and just walk a few minutes. The ticket costs 7.50€ but if you have a child you pay 5.50€. Every Monday & Tuesday the ticket costs 5.50€ for all!
