Kimolia Art Cafe is a family-owned, all-day cafe, hidden in the narrow streets of Plaka. Hosted in a 1920s building, it is decorated by a local artist, Katerina. She and her sons run this daily cafe, and one of them is Nikos, who used to be an Athens Spotter himself – one more reason to love this spot.
In Kimolia art cafe you can enjoy a wide selection of teas and gourmet chocolates as well as some tasty dishes. My favorite chocolate is the one with the orange flavour which I enjoy drinking while gazing around the rhythm of Plaka.
Fresh salads and sandwiches, as well as a selection of desserts, are offered all day long. I really like its movie-inspired cocktail list.
If you are wandering around the city centre, you can visit Kimolia for a break from your sightseeing and to enjoy the colourful decorations that gives off a vintage atmosphere.
