Korova is one of these places where you go and you feel like you’ve been there before. Maybe in another country or in another lifetime! What’s true is that this place feels like an old friend. Korova is fairly new to the area (since 2013) but it already has its fans!
Small, yet spacious, nicely decorated, not too heavy, serving high quality coffee from early morning, continuing with beers and local spirits and local dishes till late. I love it here on weekdays, in the morning when it’s not that crowded, when I just sit at one of the tables near the window and get a hot double cappuccino, reading my book.
Another favorite time is Friday or Saturday nights, when it’s a bit more crowded and we manage to get the table in the back (on the right) and get 3-4 beers along with some side dishes, prepared with local ingredients. Korova gets all the nice cheese, sausages and other Greek delicacies fresh, and prepares killer dishes with them!
One of my favourites was “fava”, as well as the fried chicken and the tasty wrapped tortillas – if they’re still on the menu, try them! Beer-wise, you may find your standard beers that you find everywhere, but you should opt for the Greek beers on the menu!
Alert! The menu is updated frequently, so keep checking in from time to time to taste new dishes!
