Skazi Athens – My local bar
This is the place I go when I want to see my friends for a little bit and have an easy-going drink. However it’s only very rare that it has been a quick drink. Normally it turns out to be a long night with lovely conversations.
This place opened in 2015 and it quickly became my most regular choice in the area either for a drink, coffee or raki and meze. It is the staff, the owners and the overall mood of the people who go there that makes it an ideal spot to really relax and feel like home.
I also love it because, it’s one of the few places in Athens where I can bring my dog with me. So, don’t be surprised if you see a few dogs chilling inside.
You can visit it during the day for coffee and snacks such as the tasty sandwich with Greek cheese (graviera) or in the evening for drinks, beers, raki and delicious cocktails.
Occasionally there is live music, pretty cool DJ sets and any kind of event really. I love it when the Athens Tap Jam group is hosting its events there. Check Skazi’s facebook page to see if there is an event taking place!
