Chicha Limoná is a spacious coffee bar, situated in the middle of Passeig de Sant Joan in Barcelona. It’s got brick walls and smooth, low-volume music, which reminds me of a charming design studio. Simple, fresh, light and airy.
They serve delicious imported coffees, from Costa Rica or Brasil, which change every week. Their coffee is supplied by the well-known Nømad Coffee company.
As well as serving exquisite coffee, they also serve a wide variety of handmade breads made with ecological wheat from La Fabrique, a very well known bakery located in the Poble Sec neighbourhood.
They offer a huge range of very tasty cakes: carrot cake, cheesecake, brownies, etc. In my opinion, their carrot cake is fantastic!
If you don’t fancy a cup of coffee or tea, then they also serve beer. And if you want something more substantial than a cake, pastry or sandwich, they also offer a lunch menu. The staff are friendly and helpful.
All around, I think it’s a great place to have a nice morning breakfast or afternoon snack while working on your laptop. Do you have to send a last minute e-mail? Need a place to study when public libraries are full? If you find yourself close to Sagrada Familia, why not call in and have a hot cup of coffee or tea while working or simply surfing the web?
