Konbe – We’re off to see the Lizard

Have a very good friend who lives in Les Corts. He really enjoys a good cocktail and every time I visit him we inevitably end up spending part of our evening here.

Stepping in here is a bit like stepping into an over-sized dollhouse. The quirky décor is artfully assembled from bright white wooden window frames all askew and bathed in cool blue light. The overall effect is quite extraordinary but comfortable enough.

The cocktails crafted here are very good — especially the range of gin tonics. I recommend their Mombassa.

Their outside tables are situated under a gorgeous mural of a couple of lizards, and every table is equipped with a bell push to summon a server.

And, there’s FREE FOOD on Thursdays between 20:00 and 22:00.

Yep, that’s correct, FREE snacks such as jamon serrano on pa i tomaquet, salmon sandwiches, tortilla and tuna wraps and more.

Another good reason to go to see the lizard.

Chin! Chin!
