Marea Baja, or Low Tide, is in fact anything but low. Hidden in plain sight, once through the door a concierge will zoom you up 23 floors to be greeted with a spectacular 360-degree panorama of the whole city.
The décor, staff and layout are all spot on. With just the right balance of ingredients to make a perfect little hideaway, it’s great for any occasion, at any time of day too.
Of course, as you skyrocket to the top, the prices go with you, but to be honest getting such a fantastic perspective of the city is absolutely worth it. I just get a four-euro beer or two and imagine there’s a tax in there which covers the unrivalled views that come as part of the package.
With feet firmly back down in reality, I look back up at the tip of the towering building – was I really all the way up there in the upper echelons? For an instant I managed to get away with it.
