Tucked away at the far end of Barcelona’s C/Tallers (very close to Universitat) is the small parlour Vegan Bowls. The best option is take-away, though you also have two small tables you can sit at.
The concept is plant-based and plastic-free. At the counter you can see a selection of pastries (all vegan) such as cupcakes, brownies, cookies and donuts. There’s also a menu of breakfast bowls, Buddha bowls and smoothies (I only tried one of the cupcakes but the smoothies seemed totally delicious!).
I will definitely come back for more, especially to try one of their bowls. I was very curious about the Cacao Dreams bowl which consists of “Avocado, raw cacao, Medjool dates and granola. Topping with banana, blue majik yogurt and raw Snickers bar 8.9”. This is just one example; all of the others sounded just as yummy and curious!
It’s a great option, especially if you are looking for something on-the-go and healthy. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s still affordable.
As they say, their menu is not only good for you but good for the planet, too!
