Coop d’état is a rooftop pub in the Gemmayze area, on Pasteur street, and a few km away from Martyr’s square in downtown Beirut.
It’s got a cozy, chill and warm atmosphere; it’s one of my favorite places in Beirut. They don’t have a big variety of food, but their burger is super special — it’s a must try, even if you are on a diet 😀 Also, climbing the stairs up and down will guarantee that no extra calories are taken back home — just the memories from such a lovely place.
I love the dim light, and the music selection makes it even cooler. It’s a very urban, friendly type of place. It always gives me good vibes!
The staff are friendly and you will believe you are talking to your friends while they take your order! They’re always smiling, even during rush hours.
On Sunday sometimes they do special events like “Bring your own meat”. You have to check that on their Facebook page though.
Reservations are recommended for big groups, although walk-ins are always welcome.
It’s a must-check during your stay.
