Walking around Dorćol is something you must do when in Belgrade. It is a neighbourhood with beautiful architecture and cobalt streets. And if you come to the corner of Cara Dušana and Kralja Petra you will find one of the oldest confectioneries in Belgrade, (appropriately named) Dorćol.

We should really protect places like this from disappearing. And you can be helping!

With a nice selection of sweets and cakes (all made with love I’m sure) and simple interior, which I’m positive has barely changed since it was opened (pay attention to the chairs!), it is a great place to take a break and get something sweet. And as soon as summer gets around the corner, ice cream comes back too!

Not far from the city centre, you just go down until you hit the big street which is Cara Dušana. You can take a piece of cake (or share it with a friend, which I usually do) and lemonade for just under € 2 / 200 dinars.
