The name RTS Klub actually encompasses more things under the wing of the Radio Television of Serbia, our public broadcaster. It’s a space for exhibitions, promotional activities and conferences, but also a place where you can take a look at the stuff they publish, the music they release and just sit down and drink a cup of tea and talk to your friends. Physically, these two spaces are divided, but they are right next to each other. I like both parts, because I always thought we lacked a space like this, provided by our public broadcaster. Now I just have to wait and see if the quality of the exhibitions and programs they make is good enough or if it’s just gonna be a pretty place with no worthwhile content.

I enjoy the cafe part because it’s quiet, very spacious and a nice place to sit down and have something to drink with your friends during the day; there is not a lot of people and it is quite literally the cheapest place in the city center and very wide (though keep in mind the menu is pretty basic, no fancy coffees).

The club is actually inside the building of the Radio of Belgrade, which in itself is quite a nice building with its own history. Please keep in mind that even though the official address is Hilandarska 2, the entrance is from Svetogorska. But it’s easy to find, as the building is on the corner where these two streets meet.
