A queer place with a bunch of plants and some very nice people working there? That definitely sounds like a place where I want to go to. If we are honest, there isn’t a big number of queer places in Belgrade – compared to the population of it, there should be far more. But out of those that do exist, Šupa (a shed) is definitely my favourite one at the moment.
I prefer going there during the day, as the place isn’t that big, and during the day it’s far less crowded and you can drink your tea, get a snack (sweet or savoury) and catch up with your friends or your laptop.
That being said, I guess for most people this place would be more interesting in the evening as they often have events like drag parties, people playing music and/or exhibitions and similar stuff. And it is usually quite full in the evenings and therefore there’s a lot of cigarette smoke but what can you do, you cannot have it all (until they ban smoking inside completely in some decade or so).
So if you are looking for a cute, queer, relaxed and pet-friendly place, Šupa is definitely your best choice.
PS: There is place to sit downstairs as well.
