Honestly, Da Jia Le doesn’t look like much: it is located in one of the not-so-nice parts of Schöneberg, next to a KiK (one of the cheapest fashion shops in Germany, that is not particularly famous for classy styles…). The interior is rather sterile, with some kitschy items here and there. All in all, not a very nice place.

But hidden beneath the cover, you will find one of the best Chinese restaurants in Berlin! Da Jia Le is specialized on North Eastern Chinese or Dongbei cuisine, but also serves dishes from other regions. All are supposedly pretty authentic if you trust my friend’s and the internet’s judgment. But whether you are a connoisseur of Dongbei dishes or not, the food tastes absolutely great. Apart from that, Da Jia Le offers a surprisingly large selection of craft beers to accompany your meal.

I would really recommend visiting this restaurant with a group of people if you can — that way you can share and try a lot of things. But no matter how many you are, don’t miss the tofu skins (no. 21), they are my absolute favorite.
