Kaschk has been one of my most visited watering holes in Berlin. Its convenient location makes it ideal for either the business 9-5 crowd wanting to step in and scroll the news with their morning coffee and unwind at the end of the day with a fantastic selection of craft beers on tap.
The weekday vibe is mostly chilled with customers tapping away on laptops, studying/ reading, catching up over coffee ‘n’ cake, then in the evening it kicks over into bar mode, and can get jampacked and lively towards the weekend, especially during one of their “tap takeover” events.
Gamers will be happy to know that Kaschk is also managed by nerds much like myself and has a variety of board games for hardcore gaming groups or light party entertainers alike, and you can be certain in the daytime to find yourself a table somewhere to accommodate your group.
Downstairs also houses two large shuffleboard tables (a sort of variation on Curling), which is easy to play, hard to master. You’ll often find workgroups booking out the tables downstairs. Feel free to peek your head in and see what the fuss is about.
Whether you’re strolling by and looking for a brief respite or looking to fill an evening with drinks and merriment, stop by Kaschk and it may prove a contender for a worthwhile spot to relax.
