Kremanski – The cosiest at Kotti

Kremanski is a great café-cum-bar just opposite Taka Fischstube that’s always hopping every time I go there. The food and drinks are decent enough, but the atmosphere is what really makes it. If I’m in the hood, I love coming here for breakfast, an afternoon coffee or for a quiet evening if I’m need of a bit of respite from the hustle-bustle around Kotti.

My favorite thing to order is the Eggs Benedict. It’s not a standard German menu item at many breakfast places, so it’s nice to be able to get it here. There’s lots of add on options, but I’m a bit of a purist and usually go with ham.

It’s non-smoking which makes it a perfect spot to bring guests unaccustomed to Berlin’s lax smoking laws. They play upbeat music, and the floor-to-ceiling glass windows offer good views for watching the lively scenery go by.
