Marubi – Tried-and-true ramen for those cold nights

Marubi is a fantastic ramen joint in Mitte near Senefelder Platz. They do a little bit of everything as a sort of Chinese/Japanese fusion.

At the heart is mostly Japanese fare (edamame, gyoza etc) and their ramen (especially tasty is their spicey beef ramen) is on my list of favourite places to stop over when I’m passing through on a cold night, although you can also find dim sum and a decent plate of 20 dumplings to satisfy your hunger.

It’s a fairly humble little restaurant that doesn’t do cards, so make sure you go in with cash on hand, although the staff have always been incredibly attentive and the service is quick.

Now having a total of 3 restaurants in Berlin (the others on Kantstrasse and Danziger Strasse), Marubi have solidified their position on the Ramen ladder and will be sure to stick around for a long time to come. I’ve been dining there for many years and have yet to be disappointed.
