The area around Tempelhofer Feld on the Neukölln side has been a source of major change over the last decade. New businesses have been popping up; coming and going, but only the best stand the test of time. Nebenan is one of those places.
It’s small, but spacious; simple, but delicious. You can’t get a coffee to go in a paper or plastic cup, but they will give you a glass jar on a 50 cent deposit to be returned at your own convenience.
I love their turmeric lattes (3.40 EUR). If I’m feeling really successful for achieving another health-conscious, caffeine-free moment, I may treat myself to a slice of one of their scrumptious homemade cakes (~3 EUR).
The vibe here is cool, calm and collected. It can be a much welcome respite from the booming business of other places in area, including the busy café nebenan (next door) and the relentless foot traffic making its way to and from the park.
